Maddie is my little girl. She made me a mother for the first time, and I have learned, and continue to learn so much from her. I love her to pieces! Although she doesn't look it now, she was born at 32w6d and spent 18 days in the NICU. But she certainly caught up and is happy and healthy! She is very sweet and caring, but also very assertive and has her streak of stubbornness. She certainly knows how to stand up for herself. She is my little helper and is an amazing big sister. When she's not reading stories or asking a million questions you can find her in a make-believe land being a princess or a lion or something just as exciting.
Isaac is my little baby boy. And boy, oh boy, is he a handful! From the moment of his trau{dra}matic birth our adventure with him has been intense and full of life and emotion. He is full of determination and has a mind of his own. When he wants something it is all or nothing. He is full of emotions. He loves strong and hard...as he does all other emotions! He has stolen my heart! The little munchkin had a rough time with tummy and respiratory issues in his first few months, but after working with our Naturopath, we found a way to make him comfortable and things have greatly improved. As a result he doesn't eat wheat (and neither do I!) and other foods that irritate his digestive system. But he doesn't mind, he still eats like a champ! Even at this young age, he is very inquisitive and curious and has the best sense of humour. I am really looking forward to seeing his little personality continue to develop!
Elsa is our surprise baby. We were not actively TTC {Trying to Conceive} so when we found out I was pregnant we were very, very surprised, especially since it took us quite a long time to conceive our first two little blessings. But in the past I did say on a few occasions that it would be nice to have an "oops baby", I guess you really should be careful what you wish for! The first and the end of the third trimester were quite stressful for several reasons {to see all the details and for updates you can visit my pregnancy blog Third Time Worry Free?}. But in the end all was well and she is now here in our arms! She is such a little blessing, such a joy. She is inquisitive and in her eyes you can see she is wise beyond her age! She is such a happy, easy-going baby--and when she does give you a smile it really comes from her heart. I fell in love with her the moment I found out I was pregnant, and that love is continuing to grow and grow. I really look forward to getting to know her and watching her grow!
