Grandpa Update

After being given a 25% chance of surviving the surgery to repair his aorta, my grandpa survived and is recovering in the ICU. He has been kept sedated to prevent any rises in his blood pressure, but is slowly being weaned off the sedatives. He has tried to open his eyes and is responsive, so the doctors are hopeful that he did not suffer any permanent brain damage. I pray that this is true. Apparently, the medical staff call him the "Miracle Man" because it is rare for a person, let alone an elderly person, to survive an aortic aneurysm. Please keep praying that he continues to do well. He has a long, long recovery period ahead of him and all our good thoughts certainly mean a lot and will help him more than you know!
