I must actually love kids music because I've sitting here on the computer working for an hour and have not changed the playlist on the iPod.
One day not too long ago, I got in the car, headed for a whole hour and fifteen minutes of yoga time, and the whole drive there I listened to the rhythms of Renee and Jeremy's CD "C'Mon" {my favorite song is "Right Now"-I sing it to Maddie when she wants something she can't have at the moment. Works like a charm}.
I love grown up music too of course, but I guess today it dawned on me that just as our kiddos love to hear "Mommy and Daddy" music, we grown-ups find comfort, simplicity and sweet innocence in listening to kiddo's music. We reconnect with the child within, which isn't such a bad thing.
P.S. Listen to a bit of this...it will make you feel happy...promise!
Hehe! That did put a smile on my face! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - I love the kind of children's music that you can sit back and enjoy and not even notice it is children's music - we have some renee and jeremy and elizabeth mitchell on our playlist - but these tunes are all new to me thanks for introducing me
