I just came across an old post of mine on Mayan Abdominal Massage. It keeps getting a lot of visits, which is great and I hope it's helping those reading it learn more about it. The timing of me coming across this post is perfect, as I had been thinking for a long time now that I need to do something to help me with some lower right side pain I'm having. I am 99% sure it's related to healing from the cesarean and I'd like to do something soon! The pain is not intrusive or interfering with my daily life, but it is annoying! Certain pants just irritate me and at the end of the day my skin feels so tender.
Anyways, I called the clinic and got the earliest available appointment, which is in early March. I look forward to it! And also to having my memory refreshed on the self-care massage. I am sure my uterus will be happy it will finally be getting some well-deserved attention. And I will also be asking Dr. Joshi many questions on uterus healing, a possible future pregnancy and what her opinion/experience is with pregnancies after more than one cesarean. Not that we're planning anything, but I do feel that if we are even going to consider getting pregnant again, I need to know that we are making that decision responsibly and considering all the potential concerns.
I will be sure to update on my massage experience!
