All Packed Up!

Oh boy oh boy! We are drowning in boxes. It is a bizarre feeling to see all your stuff packed up. I've moved a lot in my life, but this is the first move that seems like a big deal. We are moving to a whole new province! We are moving with three kiddos. But mostly because there are so many unknowns. It's exciting, but also so bittersweet. Instead of being down the street, my Mama is going to be a four hour drive away. All my friends will be too. I know I'm not saying goodbye to them, but it's still sad to give them goodbye hugs.

Then there are the more imminent tasks ahead....

I feel like we are not ready! I feel like we still have a lot to pack up and get ready to transport. I know it will all get done, but it's still stressful.

The packing of the truck {I hope it all fits! I'm sure it will all be fine, but looking at all the boxes and furniture it seems like a lot!}.

The driving with a van full of kiddos...and spending a few nights in a hotel with them. This is going to be fun, but exhausting! I hope we are able to move in to our house sooner than later!

The unpacking!!! Ugggg...I thought packing up everything was hard enough!!!

I am looking at the bright side of it all...and trying not to get too stressed out! And I have to say, any couple who survives a move, can survive anything. It certainly has been a test on our relationship...and I will admit that there have been a few times I want to shake some sense into Ken! And I'm sure he feels the same way about me!

Before I know it I will be relaxing on my new deck with a nice cup of tea...

I will be off the grid for a few days until everything gets hooked up.

See you on the other side!

  1. Good luck! I'm sure you'll handle everything beautifully and savor that cup of tea on the other side! I know just what you mean about couples and moving, too! We've weathered everything but the unpacking part now, since we're still waiting on our boxes to be delivered, and my goodness am I relieved that it's almost over!

  2. Those ‘unknowns’ would eventually unfold in their right time, Kat. :) And, that’s the right attitude to face life, positivity. Just keep it cool, and then things would fall into their right places. Don’t be too stressed on unpacking, it would help if you had an inventory of everything and a checklist to guide you. It should make things easier.

  3. Sadness is what most people felt when moving in to a new place, but it will eventually go away as the excitement grew in exploring new opportunities there. In my opinion, unpacking is really worse than packing, but my mom taught me a trick to make it easier. Open one box at a time depending on the room I’ll be setting up. Anyway, it’s been months, I hope you already achieved having a relaxing day at your deck with a nice cup of tea. =)
