Take a moment to do something nice for the Earth today, which hopefully will turn into doing it every day!
I am working on using my dryer less. We recently bought and installed water-saver shower heads. We have almost switched all of our light bulbs to compact fluorescent and we almost always remember to turn off and unplug unused computers and other energy-consuming appliances (especially those unused cell phone chargers!). There are many, many things one can do to improve our energy consumption and reduce our impact on the environment. All it takes is an open mind and the will to try to change. The benefits are substantial, not only for you, but you will be teaching your children the importance of sustainable living and being good to the environment.
There's an Earth Day article posted over at HRM Parent. If you have a few minutes, there's some good info in it..
Happy Earth Day to all!
