In the spirit of Earth Day, here are a couple of somewhat unconventional eco-friendly ideas I just came across...
Reusable tissues and Reusable cotton make-up pads
Now that I come to think about it when my brother and I were little, my mom used to cut up flannel and make reusable wipes (used for an assortment of things). When it comes to babies, reusable diapers and wipes are a no-brainer, but no one really considers using reusable hygiene products for adults. It's cool to see products created with this in mind, that can be used by babies and adults alike. Another great eco-friendly idea for the girls of this Earth are cloth pads for that time of month. I switched over after having Maddie to a combo of cloth and organic cotton pads/tampons and I'll never go back to the synthetic and plastic stuff! For a great review of cloth and eco-friendly menstruation products check this out: A Planet Friendly Period.
Do you do/use any "unconventional" eco-friendly things/products?
