She's had several haircuts, but this was her first self haircut...it was bound to happen at some point...I think almost all little kids do this in some way or another!
I cried when my daughter cut her hair. I had 3 boys, and when my daughter's hair was finally thick enough to make braids, chop, chop! she gave herself a hair cut. I scooped up all her precious hair and put it in an envelope with "Rachel's First Haircut" on it. Sad, really.
It's such beautiful hair, too! Every time I cut Mikko's hair, he ends up grabbing the scissors and trying to lop it all off at the roots. Then he turns the scissors on ME. We've avoided disaster so far…

Have you ever seen The Red Balloon? Its a French film - your pic reminded me of it.
