Moo=Ouchie?

Today was exhausting (well the last 9 months have been, really). But today in particular, Isaac was extremely cranky and on top of that had 2 episodes of awful gas pain. One of them lasted for an hour. After trying all sorts of positions, belly massage, bicycle legs, burping, nursing, and any thing else I could try, he finally let them rip. Man it was a load of air! Poor little guy. I feel so very sad he is going through this. It sucks even more at night because I know if it wasn't for the gas waking him up he would sleep quite nicely and for longer stretches. Working with our Naturopath we have tried several things, but when it comes to the gas, he is not all better. His eczema has almost disappeared and his cough is gone, the only thing still bothering him is his gas. So this has me wondering, what is causing it? What can I do to help my little boy? I know sucking on his soother might cause air swallowing, but we don't give it to him during the day anymore, only when he first falls asleep, and within a few minutes he spits it out. So I don't think that's the problem. Plus I always burp him before laying him down. I have already cut out the major tummy troublemakers from my diet and he doesn't eat them either. All of them with the exception of dairy. But oh how I love cheese and yogurt! I think I am going to have to say goodbye to my friends for a while. I will do anything to see if it helps Isaac. Enough is enough with all this tummy trouble!!!

  2. Poor little guy. I hope he feels a lot better and not be too gassy. Oh and by the way, I am reading The Choice by Nicholas Sparks.
